AYOMIDE

I am a poet, spoken word artist, and singer. I mostly write about my experiences and emotions, but I also like to write from the perspective of others. I get to see the world differently that way. Ultimately, however, what is most important to me with what I create is that I am heard, and that, in turn, people who read or hear my work feel heard too. I am a black woman, and there is a lot to be said from those two details alone, so I can only hope that my poetry encapsulates even half of that.

ID

Is about my identity as a Nigerian, although I've grown up in Britain for most of my life this is where my first sense of identity comes from.
