Through the medium of photography, ‘Absence’ has allowed me to share the emotions I have experienced with a wider audience, enabling me to come to terms with the life of my grandfather after the loss of my grandmother. Rather than overtly illustrating the passing of my grandmother I have captured the stillness of singular objects as a subtle way to communicate such themes as loneliness to the viewer.
